An application registration method, an application releasing method and a DCD(Dynamic Content Delivery) server and terminal therefor are provided to enhance the convenience of an application releasing function and application registering function by defining the standard of a message transmitted/received between the DCD server and terminal. An application registration request message including the application ID information of an application, channel count information and a channel information list is received from a DCD client(S200). An application registration reply message including registration result information is transmitted to the DCD client(S202). Before a DCD server registers an application, the application is installed in the terminal. The application registration is performed when the application is initially driven in the terminal.
