NOVEL METHOD FOR PRODUCING CEFBUPERAZONE INTERMEDIATE

A method for manufacturing a cefbuperazone intermediate used as a cephalosporin antibiotic is provided to simplify a whole process, increase reaction yield, improve reaction stability, and minimize the amount of an organic solvent to be used. A method for manufacturing a cefbuperazone intermediate represented by the formula 1 used as a cephalosporin antibiotic comprises the following steps of: silylating a carboxyl and hydroxyl group of D-threonine at a time using a silylating agent; and obtaining a compound represented by the formula 8 by acylating the silylated D-threonine to 4-ethyl-2,3-dioxo-piperazine-1-carbonylchloride.
