A liquid crystal display apparatus is provided to minimize influence on frame width of a front cover due to a slide mounting bracket. A front cover(1) is combined with a plate shape slide mounting bracket(3b). A liquid crystal panel(2) is fixed to the front cover by a panel contact unit of the slide mounting bracket. A rear cover(5) is fixed to the plate shape slide mounting bracket by tightening a screw into a screw hole. A fixing boss for mounting the rear cover is not necessary so that a width of an overlapping unit of a liquid crystal panel is subtracted from a width of the front cover. Therefore, the frame of the front cover becomes narrow.
