A portable terminal and a message displaying method making the administration of the received various kinds of messages be facilitated are provided to not display whether the message is received or not for a while. A manipulation part(130) receives the command of a user. A wireless communications unit(110) receives a message. A storage(160) stores the received message. The list of the received message is displayed on the display unit. A controller(180) controls so that the message corresponding to the condition that is preset among the received message is indicated on the received message list.
