A managing apparatus for security data and a method thereof are provided to secure the reliability of the security data by preventing the loss of the security data and the illegal copy. A managing apparatus for security data includes a host device(100) and a security multimedia card(200). The host device includes an approaching mode setting unit, a transmitting/receiving unit, and an approaching information managing unit. The approaching mode setting unit sets up the approaching mode about the security data which is saved in the multimedia card for the security. The transmitting/receiving unit transmits the approaching require message which includes the set approaching mode. The approaching information managing unit receives the approaching information which is saved in the multimedia card for the security after the disconnection with the multimedia card for the security, and compares the checked approaching information. The approaching mode includes at least one of the generation, the leading, the writing, and the deleting. |
