The element (30) has a base plate (31) solid glued to an insulation layer (33) comprising a high-density mineral wool i.e. rockwool, where the base plate has same size and area as the insulation layer. A top plate (32) having the same dimensions as the base plate is arranged in relation to the base plate so as to form a lip (38) on a side, by superposition of the base plate and the insulation layer, and a binding strip (37) corresponding to the lip on the opposite side of the top plate. An independent claim is also included for a method for constructing a floor.
