A method for cultivating a mushroom is provided to broaden a mushroom generation area and secure a growth space for the mushroom and a space for water supply. A method for cultivating a mushroom comprises the following steps. A mycelium of mushroom is cultivated in a lower cup(3) of a culture container and a culture medium is separated from the culture container. The culture medium is loaded in an A-shaped mycobiota shelf so that the lower cup is placed upward and a cap(2) is faced downward. A space for installing an irrigation/water-retaining unit is formed by a collar unit(2a) of the culture medium.
