The present invention is related to materials derived from herbs and to herbal compositions containing same useful for the treatment of cutaneous conditions and skin disorders such as the psoriasis disease; the composition is characterised in that it comprises the aqueous extract of at least three whole or fragmented plants selected from: Walnut (Junglans regia L.); Oregano (Origanum vulgare L.); Seepwillow, (Baccharis glutinosa, Baccharis salicifolia); Thyme (Thymus vulgaris L); Elder flower (Sambucus nigra L.); Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis); Nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus L.) and Saponaria (Caryophyllaceae, Saponaria officinalis L.) using 10 gr. of each plant with a variation of from about 25 % by weight regarding 6 litres of water condensed at 50%; wherein the inventive composition is prepared in a suitable form to be applied to the skin or scalp in order to treat psoriasis-affected zones, the composition may comprise additional components so that it is available in a topic cream or shampoo form.
