A black buckwheat tea composition and a preparing method thereof are provided to mix bog rhubarb, polygonatum odoratum, vitamin C to a main ingredient of buckwheat in order to add a flavor and a function for promoting evacuation. A black buckwheat tea composition and a preparing method thereof comprise steps of: selecting ingredients; determining a mixing ratio; washing; steaming and parching; cutting and pulverizing; mixing; maturing and fermenting; press-forming; maturing and drying; screening; sterilizing; and packing the black buckwheat tea. The black buckwheat tea includes 43-48 wt% of dried buckwheat hulls, 10-15 wt% of dried bog rhubarb, 10-15wt% of polygonatum odoratum, 10-15wt% of Japanese apricot, 3-5wt% of licorice, 3-5wt% of dried stevia, 3.7-5.5wt% of citric acid, 3-5wt% of vitamin C, and 0.3-0.5wt% of salicornia herbacea.
