A load lifting apparatus is provided on a structure such as a bridge to ascend or descend an object gradually without separate lifting equipment such as crane, resulting in reduction of construction cost and time. A load lifting apparatus comprises a base unit(10) in which a first fixing assembly(20) is installed, a drive unit(30) in which a second fixing assembly(40) is equipped, a head unit equipped on the other side of the base unit about the drive unit, a strand(W) passing through the base unit, the drive unit, and the head unit, and fixed by one or both of the first or the second fixing assembly, and a cam block(28) installed on the exterior of the first and the second fixing assembly.
