Nasal pillow mask assembly

A nasal assembly for providing a supply of air at positive pressure to the entrance of a patient's airways for nasal continuous positive airway pressure treatment of sleep disordered breathing includes an air delivery conduit arranged in use to receive a supply of air at positive pressure; a rigid or semi-rigid frame defining a structure to which the air delivery conduit is connected; a headgear assembly to hold the frame in position on the face of a patient; and a nozzle assembly connected to the frame. The nozzle assembly includes a pair of nozzles and a base portion, the base portion constructed from a deformable material having side walls forming a resilient spring structure providing a component of force on a patient's face through the nozzles and a resiliently deformable central wall portion from which the pair of nozzles extend. Each nozzle has a cone-shaped portion with a portion that seals on the underside of the nostrils in an area about the rim of the nostril openings and another portion that enters into the nasal passage of the patient's nose in use; each cone-shaped portion is connected to the base portion via a reduced diameter first portion and is arranged so that the nozzles are in communication with respective outlet openings provided in the central wall.
