System and method for obtaining pertinent real-time survey evidence

A system for obtaining pertinent real-time survey evidence comprises a host server; a data acquisition device; and a questions database. The questions database stores at least one survey. Each survey comprises a plurality of questions and associated responses and where each question in the survey has set demographic question criteria. An interviewee is prompted by the data acquisition device to provide a set of demographic data. The data acquisition device is subsequently operable to communicate the set of demographic data to the host server for comparison with the set of demographic data specified for each survey stored in a questions database and, based on the results of the comparison, select a survey for the interviewee to complete. The host server thereafter is operable to communicate a first question and associated responses from the selected survey which is presented to the interviewee by way of the data acquisition device in a manner where each combination of question and response selected by the interviewee is communicated to the host server which then determines the next question and associated responses from the survey, if any, to be presented to the interviewee based on the communicated combination of question and response as well as an assessment of the set of demographic data provided by the interviewee against the set demographic question criteria for each question in the survey. The host server is also operable to store the combination of question and response so provided in a survey record in a response database and associate that record with the selected survey.
