<p>The invention relates to an installation for continuously feeding cold materials processable by conversion, which has the role of storing, dosing and feeding the quartz, pre-refining slags, coke etc., during the conversion process, without requiring the Pierce-Smith converter tilting. The installation for continuously feeding the cold materials processable by conversion, comprises a belt system, a plate feeder, a storing hopper, a feeding hopper and a converter, the feeding hopper (4) comprising a mobile trough (6) and a fixed trough (7), both round shaped, the mobile one having a higher diameter, ensuring the sliding thereof on some rolls (9) and the displacement by means of a pinion-rack device (10), the equilibration of the mobile trough (6) being carried out by means of a counter-weight (11) and the closing and opening of the feeding hopper (4) being carried out either by means of a pneumatic cylinder (13) or a restrictor-feeder (12), or by a manual actuation device (14).</p> |
