<p>The invention relates to a long orthotic device for the knee mechanical joint. According to the invention, the device comprises some orthoses (13 and 14), an upper orthosis and a lower orthosis, and a boot (15) on which some linking bearings (12 and 12') are mounted by means of some lower linking bars (10 and 10'), when the boot (15) is placed on the ground, the mechanical impulse being taken over by means of a heel sock lining (8) and transmitted to the linking bearings (12 and 12') by using some rods (1 and 1') of some articulations (3 and 3') and some ratchet-holder levers (2 and 2'), each of them being articulated by one of some bearings (9 and 9') locking the knee joint by some ratchets (a and b), when the foot is fully flexed, the rotation bearings of the articulations being parallel to the knee joint, the ratchets (a and b) being unlocked by means of some springs (6 and 6') adjusted by means of some members (7 and 7') which are locked on the rods (1 and 1') when the foot is lifted from the ground.</p> |
