A digital broadcasting system and a method of processing data in the digital broadcasting system are provided to enable a receiving system to provide both a mobile service and a main service to be changed into a main service of high quality automatically according to a receiving environment or be changed into a main service strong against motion, thereby providing an optimum broadcasting service. If an A/V service which is currently serviced as a main service is retransmitted, a receiving system receives and stores retransmission channel information(S701). The receiving system tunes a channel for the main service or a channel for the mobile service(S702). The receiving system compares SNR of main service data with preset SNRt(S703). If the SNR value of the main service data is larger, the receiving system provides the main service to the user through a display and a speaker(S705) after the receiving system temporarily stores a broadcast signal for the main service(S704).
