FIELD: transport, rescue jobs. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for heaving off the ships, first of all, representing explosion-and-ecological danger, for example, large crude-oil tankers. In compliance with the proposed method, rescue ships with ballast tanks are arranged on both sides of the ship to be heaved off. The said rescue ships are also provided with the sources of cold and heat exchangers located on rescue ship side facing the sides of the ship to be heaved off. The rescue ship draught is increased by filling ballast tanks with water. Water space between sides is frozen by feeding coolant into heat exchangers to ice-jam the ship to be heaved off. Now, the ballast tanks are dried to create required lifting force. Ice-jammed ships are then moved to deep waters and shut off feeding coolants to do away with ice jamming. ^ EFFECT: higher load-carrying capacity due to increase in amount and displacement of rescue ships, higher reliability and efficiency of heaving off. ^ 1 dwg |
