FIELD: machine building. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building. Triangular self-locking thread features turns of threaded surface with crests deflected from their rated position. The aforesaid turns are two adjacent turns with their crests are deflected in opposite direction by 90° along the thread lengthwise section so that the distance between deflected turn and the adjacent not-deflected turn makes 0.85 of the normal thread pitch. Note here that the thread turn crests are deflected on circular segments of threaded surface located at 5 points on the thread crosswise section. ^ EFFECT: improved threaded joint self-locking properties. ^ 2 dwg
