The tab (3) has a base part (4) made of tinned copper of a trimaterial band, and a contact part (6) made of silvered copper. An intermediate fuse part (5) is made of low fusing point metallic alloy and placed between the base part and the contact part for obtaining a fuse protection. A plate part (7) is formed by cutting a section having a given width from the trimaterial band. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method of fabricating a fuse protection power tab (2) a method of fabricating a connector comprising a fuse protection power tab.
