FIELD: medicine; neurosurgery. ^ SUBSTANCE: after damaged peripheral nerve has been separated from surrounding tissues, isolating muff is placed on its distal end, which is made of thin-walled silicone tube, diameter of which should exceed diameter of damaged nerve by 2-3 mm. Length of silicone tube is selected so that it is 4-5 cm more than linear size of restored defect of nerve trunk. After integrity of damaged nerve has been restored, isolating muff is shifted proximally along sutured nerve until it overlaps place of nerve proximal and distal ends connection by 4-5 cm. Place of nerve proximal and distal ends connection is affluently irrigated with solution of Berlition 300 medication, which is introduced into free space between internal surface of muff and external surface of restored nerve. ^ EFFECT: prevention of scar-adhesion process development and faster regeneration of damaged peripheral nerve in postoperational period. ^ 1 ex |
