WIRE ROLLING METHOD AND TANDEM ROLLING EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elevate a line speed as high as possible without applying heavy overload to a driving motor for driving rolling rolls in a mill for rolling wires.

SOLUTION: In a wire rolling method for rolling the wires by using a tandem rolling equipment having a plurality of rolling stands 12, the actual value P1 of the load of the driving motor 14 for driving the rolling roll 13 of that rolling stand 12 every rolling stand 12 is determined and an assessed value V1 of the line speed when the driving motor 14 is on the rated load is determined on the basis of the actual value P1 of the load and the output characteristics of the driving motor 14 and the number of revolution of the rolling roll 13 is controlled on the basis of the assessed value V1 of the line speed.
