PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a magnetron with a durable input part hardly affecting oscillation characteristics of the magnetron even if vibration and impact are applied to it. SOLUTION: In manufacturing the magnetron of a structure fixing one end of a cylindrical metal body so that a cathode firmly fixed to the other end of cylindrical metal body is arranged at a center part of an anode part with a plurality of vanes in a radial shape, the cathode is firmly fixed to the cylindrical metal body, and, after heat treatment is applied and after a process of hardening treatment of the cylindrical metal body, the input part is fixed so that the cathode is positioned at a center part of the anode part.
