PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of performing field sequential driving and impulse driving even when the response time of the liquid crystal and/or light emission time of the light source are comparatively elongated. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 100 is equipped with a signal line 31, a gate line 32, a gate line 33, and a pixel 34 including the liquid crystal 39. The pixel 34 includes: a transistor 35 of which one of source and drain is connected with the signal line 31 and the gate is connected with the gate line 32; a signal storage capacitor 36 of which one electrode 36a is connected with the other of source and drain of the transistor 35; a transistor 37 of which one of source and drain is connected with the one electrode 36a of the signal storage capacitor 36 and the gate is connected with the gate line 33; and a display pixel capacitor 38 of which one electrode 38a is connected with the other of source and drain of the transistor 37.
