PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when a driving frequency is increased for suppressing motion picture blur in dot inverted driving, power consumption of a data line driving IC is increased and the data line driving IC generates heat. SOLUTION: An optimal liquid crystal drive mode is set to an input terminal of a television in accordance with a device to be connected thereto. In an indication on a PC, dot inverted driving is performed in "still picture sharpening mode".
