PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor excellent in quietness in which sliding noise due to the fluctuations in a distribution of load produced in a bearing on the opposite side to the output extracting side can be suppressed, and to provide an electric power steering device. SOLUTION: The motor 13 includes a rotor 70 and a case 52 housing the rotor 70. The portion of the output shaft 71 of the rotor 70 on the output extracting side is supported in the case 52 via a bearing 67 on the output extracting side. The portion of the output shaft 71 on the opposite side to the output extracting side is supported in the case 52 via a bearing 59 on the opposite side to the output extracting side, and the bearing 59 on the opposite side to the output extracting side can be slidable, with the bearing 67 on the output extracting side being substantially at the center.
