PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent reception quality even in the case that an interference wave is mixed. SOLUTION: A high frequency converting section 100 for converting a received high frequency signal into an intermediate frequency signal comprises, in addition to a desired wave filter 130 for filtering the intermediate frequency signal with frequency characteristics for extracting a desired wave subjected to demodulation, a first interference wave filter 140A and a second interference wave filter 140B having frequency characteristics different from each other for filtering the intermediate frequency signal with frequency characteristics different from the frequency characteristics of the desired wave filter 130, respectively. A first difference detection section 150A and a second difference detection section 150B detect differences between outputs from the first interference wave filter 140A and the second interference wave filter 140B and an output from the desired wave filter 130. A gain control section 160 controls a high frequency amplification section 110 on the basis of the detected differences, thereby performing gain control corresponding to a mixed interference wave in the high frequency amplification section 110.
