PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure hermeticity inside a housing of a thermostat device without applying epoxy resin or water repellent agent. SOLUTION: The thermostat device comprises the housing 10 consisting of a bottomed cylindrical main body case 11 and a support body 12, a bi-metallic strip 13 held on the outside surface of the support body 12, a cap 14 which is fit outside the main body case 11 from above the support body 12 to fix the bi-metallic strip 13 to the support body 12, a switch 15 disposed inside the housing 10, and a driving lever 16 which is so pivoted as to be slidable in the central axis direction of the main body case 11 at the center of the support body 12 and is connected to the bi-metallic strip 13 and the switch 15. At the opening 11a-side end part of the main body case 11, an engagement projecting portion 11c projecting outside in the axial direction of the main body case 11 is so formed as to surround the opening 11a, and an engagement recessed portion 12b to be engaged with the engagement projecting portion 11c is formed in the surface 12a of the support body 12 which faces the main body case 11.
