PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt-like ply mainly formed of a raw material formed of non-petroleum resources and a pneumatic tire using the belt-like ply. SOLUTION: This belt-like ply 10 is formed by coating a cord aligning body 10a arranged with a plurality of steel cords 11 with topping rubber 10b. Each of the steel cords 11 has a bending rigidity of 4.7-30.0 g cm or higher and elongation in a 100N load of 0.5-3%.
