VIBRATION CONTROL DEVICE FOR RAILROAD VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control device for a railroad vehicle capable of preventing the riding comfortableness of the railroad vehicle from being impaired even if a bogie causes vibration due to deterioration with age. SOLUTION: This vibration control device 1 for the railroad vehicle V is provided with a damping force variable damper 3 provided between a body B of the railroad vehicle V and the bogie W supporting the body B to control the vibration of the body B in the horizontal direction for the direction of the advance of the railroad vehicle V, a detection means 2 for detecting acceleration in the horizontal direction acting on the body B of the railroad vehicle V for the direction of advance of the railroad vehicle, and a control means 4 for controlling a control force F generated by the damping force variable damper 3 to control the vibration of the body in a skyhook semiactive manner. Acceleration detected by the detection means 2 is analyzed, and vibration in the horizontal direction of the bogie W is detected to make the damping force variable damper 3 function as a passive damper when the intensity of the vibration of the bogie W becomes markedly large.
