PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the quantum with which the noise generated inside the mainframe leaks to the outside of the mainframe while controlling the noise quantum leaking to the outside of the mainframe to the minimum according to the width size of a recording sheet in a recording apparatus equipped with a suction means for making the recording sheet absorb to a platen. SOLUTION: The recording apparatus which includes the suction means 500 which makes the recording sheet absorb to the platen by sucking open air from two or more suction holes 33a formed in the platen 33 which supports the recording sheet under recording, and a delivery port 65 for delivering the recording sheet to the outside of the mainframe includes an opening/closing means 600 for opening and closing the delivery port.
