PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ribbon cartridge equipped with a simple mechanism which causes neither the twisting of the ink ribbon at loading nor the exceedingly pulling of the ink ribbon with the ribbon cartridge of a printer. SOLUTION: The ribbon cartridge for printing is equipped with (1) the ink ribbon, (2) a cartridge body for containing the ink ribbon with exposing the part, (3) a ribbon guide which is engaged with the exposed part so that the exposed part may be guided, and (4) a guide tape which keeps the one end in the longitudinal direction fixed to the 1st position of the ribbon guide, and the other end fixed to the 2nd position of the ribbon guide to form a loop so as to support the ribbon guide, and which is arranged so that the tape face may be countered against the ribbon face of the exposed part.
