PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent damage to a solid cosmetic material contained in a cosmetic material tray by impact applied to a dish-like container body in which a storing recess part is formed, the inner frame fitted to and supported by the storing recess part of the container body, the cosmetic material tray containing the cosmetic material detachably contained in the inner frame and a cover which is hinged to a part of the container body and opens and closes the container body when the container body is subjected to impact by dropping it or strongly closing the cover. SOLUTION: The compact container is composed of the dish-like container body 1 in which the storing recess part 11 is formed, the inner frame 2 which is fitted to and supported by the storing recess part 11 of the container body 1, the cosmetic material tray 3 which contains the cosmetic material 31 and is detachably contained in the inner frame 2 and the cover 5 which is hinged to a part of the container body 1 and opens and closes the storing recess part 11 of the container body 1. In this case, the inner frame 2 is fitted to the storing recess part 11 in a predetermined space in a suspended state by fixing supporting parts 26 and 26 arranged in a part of the peripheral wall of the inner frame 2 to receiving parts 19 and 19 arranged in peripheral walls 12 and 13 of the storing recess part 11.
