PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable connection method capable of simply and firmly connecting a cable with its outer surface composed of a thermoplastic elastomer such as polyurethane or the like to a resin case of a proximity switch or a resin component such as a connector or the like to prevent coming-off of the cable and to secure sealability. SOLUTION: When a resin component is molded by being connected to the outer surface of cables having its outer surface formed of a thermoplastic elastomer, after the outer surface of the cables is subjected to a modifying treatment to change its surface property, the outer surface of the cables is surrounded to form the resin component, thereby enhancing the adhesivity with the resin component to prevent an interface damage and to integrally connect the cables to the resin component so as to prevent coming-off and secure them with each other.
