It is possible to provide a cylindrical linear motor armature and a cylindrical linear motor which can reduce a thrust ripple to a minimum value and an armature temperature increase, have an excellent assembling property, and can obtain preferable motor characteristic. Several cooling pipes (1d) are arranged in an aluminum frame (1c) and air or water, oil, or an insulation coolant such as florinat is introduced into the pipes so as to collect heat generated in an armature coil, thereby reducing heat transfer to a load via a table and heat transfer to a magnetic field via an air gap.
