BLOOD PURIFIER

[PROBLEMS] To provide a blood purifier which is capable of reliably and precisely detecting blood recirculation by further making clear a characteristic peak which has to be imparted to the blood. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The blood purifier has a blood circuit (1), a blood pump (3), a dialyzer (2), a dialyzing fluid introduction line (7), a dialyzing fluid ejection line (8), a duplex pump (P), a booster pump (11), a blood concentration means, and detection means (5a, 5b) for detecting the characteristic peak imparted by the blood concentration means. The blood concentration means has an atmosphere opening line (13) and an electromagnetic valve (14). The atmosphere opening line (13) is extended from a portion between the booster pump (11) and the duplex pump (P) in the dialyzing fluid ejection line (8), and has its tip opened to the atmosphere. The electromagnetic valve (14) is capable of opening and closing the atmosphere opening line (13). The blood flowing through the dialyzer (2) is rapidly concentrated in a short period of time by opening the atmosphere opening line (13) with the electromagnetic valve (14), and thereby imparting the characteristic peak to the blood.
