<p>A demountable flood protection wall has a modular construction with similar modules (1) connected by adjacent edges secured by seals. Each module comprises a base (4) an inner wall (3) an outer wall (2) and at least one cross wall (11) to form a trough shape. The module is braced by a triangular support (6) on the dry side which can be further secured by ground spikes (10) and which is removable or is hinged on the inner wall. The water side has at least one water inlet port (5) set above ground level and selectively closed by sliding shutters. The erected module can be filled with ballast.</p>
