<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault diagnostic device capable of performing diagnosis on a solar cell while a solar cell module is used even if it is installed in a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The fault diagnostic device 1 is provided with a plurality of voltmeters 4 that detect an output of each solar cell 3 in the solar cell module 2, photo diodes 5A to 5D that are provided in the module 2 and have different wavelength sensitivities, and a fault determination controller 8 having a memory 8a. An output predicted value of each cell 3 corresponding to each of a plurality of sunlight spectral states incident on the module 2 is prestored in the memory 8a. The controller 8 estimates the sunlight spectral state based on outputs of the photo diodes 5A to 5D, obtains the output predicted value of each cell 3 corresponding to the spectral state of sunlight, and compares these values with the measured value of each voltmeter 4 (actually-output value of each cell 3) to perform fault determination on each cell 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
