<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for connecting laver intended for increasing a production speed of producing belt-like laver through connecting rectangular laver. <P>SOLUTION: This method for connecting laver comprises sequentially applying for positioning, the downstream end of rectangular laver S to be conveyed in the horizontal direction one sheet by one sheet abutting to a stopper 5, moistening the upstream end part of the rectangular laver before or after positioning, and pushing downward the downstream end part of the rectangular laver followed by press superposing on the upstream end part of belt-like laver SL waiting on a place below the lower rim of the stopper 5 so as to join the rectangular laver S to the belt-like laver SL. Furthermore, the method comprises conveying the belt-like laver SL only for a length made by decreasing a connection margin from the total length in the conveying direction of the rectangular laver S, and repeating the same processes as above whenever the rectangular laver S is positioned with the stopper 5 so as to sequentially join the rectangular laver S. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
