HUMAN ANTIBODY DERIVED FROM IMMUNIZED XENOMOUSE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a human antibody which hardly becomes an immunogen in human treatment and in vivo diagnosis.

SOLUTION: Isolated fully human antibodies against a specific antigen can be prepared by administering the antigen to a transgenic animal which is modified to produce such antibodies in response to antigenic challenge, but whose endogenous loci is disabled. Various subsequent manipulations can be performed to obtain either antibodies per se or analogs thereof.
