<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device capable of preventing an occupant from having uncomfortable feeling when inserting a hand between a rear seat and the side airbag device. <P>SOLUTION: This side airbag device 14 is provided with an airbag 41 stored in a section sandwiched in between a body 15 of a vehicle 10 and the rear seat 11, an outer cover 20 having a first wall part 22 having such a shape that covers an inner side of a vehicle interior of the section and a second wall part 23 having such a shape that extends along a side face of the rear seat 11, and an inner cover 30. A face on a rear seat 11 side of this device 14 is formed by a face on a rear seat 11 side of the second wall part 23 and a face on a rear seat 11 side of a side wall part 35 of the inner cover 30. The outer cover 20 and the inner cover 30 are formed into such a shape that does not cause a step between the face on the rear seat 11 side of the second wall part 23 and the face on the rear seat 11 side of the side wall part 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
