<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect concentration of gas to be detected in expiration in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: An alcohol sensor 24A detects the concentration of ethanol gas contained in gas to be detected, and an oxygen sensor 24B detects the concentration of oxygen contained in the gas to be detected. An ethanol concentration calculation section 40 detects the concentration of ethanol gas in expiration based on the time differential of variation in concentration of the detected ethanol gas, the time differential of variation in concentration of the detected oxygen, the characteristic of the impulse response of the stored output concentration of the alcohol sensor, the characteristic of the impulse response of the stored output concentration of the oxygen sensor, and the predetermined concentration of the oxygen in the expiration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
