<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering system for a vehicle, capable of easily and completely determining an assembly position for a pinion shaft and a joint yoke, and improving workability. <P>SOLUTION: The pinion shaft 4 is provided with serration grooves 41a, 41b at a projecting end section 41, and serration-connected with a serration groove 321b which is formed at a housing section 321a of the joint yoke 321. Besides, an annular groove 41c engaged with a stop bolt B for preventing the yoke 321 from coming off is formed at the projecting end section 41 of the shaft 4. In the shaft 4, a plate member 41d is fitted into an attachment groove portion 41e as a positioning device for aligning the forming position of the annular groove 41c with a through hole 321c of the yoke 321. Therefore, by bringing a top end surface of the yoke 321 into contact with the plate member 41d, the assembly position can be determined extremely easily and completely. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
