<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing toner clogging of a brush constituting electrification auxiliary means. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes first electrification auxiliary means 6 which comes into contact with an image carrier 1 at a position downstream from a transfer means 92 and to which voltage having a reverse polarity to the normal electrification polarity of the toner is applied, and a second electrification auxiliary means 7 which comes in contact with the image carrier 1 at a position downstream from the first electrification auxiliary means 6 and at a position upstream from electrification means 2 in a moving direction of the image carrier 1 and to which voltage having the same polarity as the normal electrification polarity of the toner is applied, wherein the toner left on the surface of the image carrier 1 without being transferred, and passed through respective contact parts (e) and (f) between the first and second electrification auxiliary means 6 and 7 and the image carrier 1 is collected by a developing means 4. The first and second electrification auxiliary means 6 and 7 are constituted of brushes formed of conductive fibers, and the fiber density of the first electrification auxiliary means 6 is smaller than that of the second electrification auxiliary means 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
