<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication state of a terminal in detail without performing unnecessary communication. <P>SOLUTION: In a terminal transmission step, a communication terminal 50 transmits intensity information and identification information to an access point 52. In a server storage step, a server 54 stores the intensity information in association with the identification information transmitted from the access point 52. In an inquiry step, the communication terminal 50 transmits terminal specification information to the access point 52. In a reply step, the server 54 sends the intensity information corresponding to the terminal specification information back to the access point 52. In a terminal storage step, the communication terminal 50 stores the state information received from the access point 52 in association with the terminal specification information.
