<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus which can uniformly coat the surfaces of raw materials with a highly viscous coating liquid, can prevent the mutual binding of the raw materials, and can smoothly process the surfaces of the raw materials when the raw materials are dried. <P>SOLUTION: This coating apparatus comprises a laterally disposed cylindrical stirring chamber for coating, a laterally disposed drying stirring chamber composed of a gas-permeable cylindrical screen, a main shaft rotatably disposed in the drying stirring chamber in the longitudinal direction of the drying stirring chamber, and a stirring means which is pivotally attached to the main shaft and can be rotated on the axis of the main shaft to stir the raw materials conveyed in the drying stirring chamber and simultaneously convey the raw materials in longitudinal direction of the drying stirring chamber, wherein the speed for conveying the raw materials is reduced on the downstream side of the raw material-conveying direction by the stirring means in the drying portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
