<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the movement speed and movement direction of an object when the object is detected by radio waves. <P>SOLUTION: The object detection system comprises: a plurality of radar systems comprising radar heads 201, 202 for transmitting radio waves and receiving the radio waves reflected by the object at different positions and radar signal processing sections 311, 312 for determining at least the relative speed and direction of the object from reception signals output from the radar heads 201, 202; and a movement vector detection section 402 for calculating the movement vector of the object using the relative speed and direction of the object determined by the plurality of radar systems. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
