PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system and the like in which suitable serial numbers can be imparted by managing, at a server, omitted numbers in management numbers even in the case that a problem such as printing interruption occurs during printing. SOLUTION: Specific information (serial number) to be combined with image data to be printed is stored in a serial number table 1182. If a control unit 100 detects interruption of printing herein, on the basis of serial numbers during which printing is interrupted, omitted numbers are stored in the serial number table 1182. When printing the image data again, the serial numbers stored as omitted numbers in the serial number table 1182 are then inhibited from being printed again. Furthermore, information about serial numbers or the like that has become omitted numbers is transmitted to a server 200 as log information, and the server 200 manages the log information received.
