PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic system capable of improving the degree of freedom of arrangement and being excellent in handleability. SOLUTION: The endoscopic system includes: a first scope 1 with a built-in first solid-state imaging element 1x; a first cable 1c whose one end part is connected to the first scope and other end part is provided with a first connector 1d; a first unit 3 provided with a first scope connection part 14a to which the first connector 1d is freely detachably connected; a second unit 4 which is separate from the first unit 3 and is provided with a first processing circuit 21 for processing signals based on the output of the first solid-state imaging element 1x; and a second cable 1f which is provided with a second connector 1e freely detachably connected to the first connector 1d on one end part, is provided with a third connector 1h freely detachably connected to the first processing circuit 21 of the second unit 4 on the other end part, and transmits the signals based on the output of the first solid-state imaging element 1x to the first processing circuit 21.
