The invention relates to a method for controlling a motor vehicle in the overrun. Starting from an operating state with activated overrun cut-off (overrun), the drive train is monitored between the output of the internal combustion engine and the input of the transmission device for the occurrence of a torque difference greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold torque.
