An energy-saving type high-pressure lamp is provided to increase the energy reduction effect by applying the normal mode and power saving mode according to the set up time. A discharge lamp tap(107) caves in to the inner side from the upper center of the discharge lamp. A supporting frame tap(105) is inserted into the discharge lamp tap. A supporting frame(103) is supported by the supporting frame tap and the discharge lamp tap. A supporting frame lead line(117) is welded to the supporting frame. The supporting frame is supported by the supporting frame lead line. A low power arc tube(111a) is operated in the power saving mode. A high power arc tube(111b) is operated in the normal mode. An arc tube tie bar(109) is welded in the supporting frame. The arc tube tie bar is connected to the low power arc tube and the high power arc tube. The first arc tube lead line(113) is connected to the low power arc tube. The second arc tube lead line(115) is connected to the high power arc tube. A glass supporting tube(119) is protruded to the inside of the discharge lamp. The first contact(125) is connected to the first arc tube lead line. The second contact unit(123) is connected to the second arc tube lead line. A socket contact unit(121) is connected to the supporting frame lead line. A discharge tube cover glass(101) is filled with the noncombustible gas of the high pressure.
