An impact absorption apparatus of the steering column is provided that the axis deflection is prevented in the automobile collision accident. An impact absorption apparatus of the steering column comprises a guide plate(410) having the slot hole of the first direction, a lower bracket(430) fixed to both sides of guide plate to the car body, a sliding member having sliding groove, a tail end plate(420) fixed to the slot hole of the guide plate, a top mounting bracket assembly(470) fixed to the car body the outer tube, a fixing member(570) installed at the top mounting bracket assembly. The sliding member comprises the sliding groove(455) which is formed in order to slide around the fixed axis.
